TI Impact acquires Groupe TI to offer new services and cover new markets

The company will keep the Groupe TI name and will increase its presence with Canadian SMEs

Brossard and Magog, January 10, 2023

TI Impact, an expert in managed and outsourced IT services, announces that it has acquired Groupe TI of Magog, a specialist in cloud-based IT solutions for small businesses.

The new company will operate under the banner “Groupe TI” to maintain the brand name well known to many customers. Its head office will be based in Brossard. Groupe TI will keep all employees based in the Magog office. Agreements with clients and partners will remain unchanged.

Groupe TI now has more resources to take on more extensive projects, offer new services, and acquire new clients in geographic and vertical markets. The company increases its buying power and allows economies of scale to be shared with its clients.

With an expanded staff, Groupe TI will further specialize the skills of its resources. Groupe TI will also set up a new business unit dedicated to its clients’ IT security. By combining the technological expertise of the two organizations, Groupe TI will expand its offering to enhance its one-stop-shop approach.

The company’s management will be led by Philippe Labelle, co-founder and current president of TI Impact. He is appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of the new organization. Mr. Louis Pellerin, partner and co-founder of TI Impact, will be responsible for sales and marketing as vice president. Also, Mr. Olivier Toutant-Paradis, partner of Groupe TI in Magog, joins the trio of leaders as partner and vice president of technology. Finally, Mr. Raymond Toutant, outgoing president of Groupe TI in Magog, is stepping down from the company’s day-to-day management; he will act as a senior strategic advisor to management.

“To continue our growth, we were looking to partner with a company with solid expertise. With the arrival of the Magog Groupe TI team, we can now offer more services and conquer new markets while offering quality services with a high level of responsiveness,” says Philippe Labelle, President and Chief Operating Officer of the new Groupe TI. “Technologies are changing rapidly, and we strive to simplify them for our clients. To achieve this, we need to build a strong and agile team. With this acquisition, we’ve taken another step in that direction,” concludes Labelle.

“When we first met the TI Impact management team in Brossard, I think I’m right in saying that it was love at first sight. We shared the same values,” says Mr. Raymond Toutant, outgoing president of Groupe TI in Magog. “For us, commitment, respect, pragmatism, meticulousness, and especially humanism have always been the cornerstones on which we have grown our company. We are now bigger, but we keep the same proximity with our clients,” concludes Mr. Toutant.
